Don’t Get Thrown Into Cruise Ship Jail

Odds are you’ve heard of the brig before. It’s basically a jail cell on a ship, and it’s reserved for passengers that break the law, get in fights, or otherwise threaten the safety of other passengers or crew.

There is no judge on a ship, at least not one that’s there for work, so if you’re thrown in the brig, you’ll most likely spend the rest of your vacation there. At least until the ship makes port and can offload you to the authorities, which may or may not be in the same country that you sailed from in the first place.
