A Morgue Lurks Within Every Cruise Ship

Vacations and cruises are supposed to be a time to let go and have fun. However, there’s often a darker side to many cruises that passengers don’t see. Since a large portion of the clientele usually tends to be older people, it’s actually not all that uncommon for people to pass away while on a cruise.

At least, that’s what one former crew member said when they estimated that around three people pass away every month on a cruise. For this reason, all cruise ships are required to have a morgue on board, which is off-limits to passengers and usually has room for around three to six bodies.
