PT Cruiser Convertible (2005-2008)
The regular version of the art-deco PT Cruiser, produced by Chrysler from 2001 to 2010, was a tremendous success in the automotive market. Its distinctive design earned it numerous accolades, including Motor Trend’s Car of the Year, a spot on Car and Driver’s Ten Best list, and the prestigious North American Car of the Year award.
In contrast, the convertible version of the PT Cruiser, available from 2005 to 2008, did not receive the same warm reception. While the original model’s rounded aesthetics were well-liked, these design elements did not translate effectively to the convertible version. This led to the model appearing somewhat like a parody of its former self, which detracted from its appeal in the eyes of consumers and critics alike.
