The Zundapp Janus was a failure in every sense of the word. Everything from the design to the engine’s power to the car’s center of gravity was a massive letdown compared to other vehicles of the late 1950s.

It also didn’t help that the car – and we use the term loosely – was priced incredibly highly for the time. The vehicle was such a bomb that production ceased after only 6,902 cars had been produced.
