Overland Octoauto
The Overland Octoauto looks more like something out of a child’s daydream than it does an actual functioning vehicle. Designed by Milton Reeves in 1911, the vehicle came in at 20 ft. long and featured eight wheels, four axels, room for four passengers, and a 40-horsepower engine.
However, the car’s ungainly appearance, terrible handling, and $3200.00 (absurdly expensive for the time) price tag made it an immediate massive – literal and figurative – flop.
