Reliant Robin (1973-2002)

The Reliant Robin, affectionately known as the “plastic pig,” enjoyed a measure of success in the United Kingdom. This unique vehicle was known for its distinct three-wheeled design and entirely fiberglass construction, attributes that set it apart in the automotive market.

However, the Reliant Robin did not resonate well with the predominantly “macho” American car culture. The car was notoriously unstable, with a tendency to tip over, which further hindered its acceptance and popularity in the U.S. market.
