GAVIN MACLEOD – 88
Gavin MacLeod continues to relish in his Hollywood career even after 60 long years. Besides being an actor, however, he is also a ship’s ambassador, an author, and a Christian activist. MacLeod began acting in shows like The Walter Winchell File and U.S. Marshal. He eventually went mainstream after appearing in films like The Sword of Ali Baba and A Man Called Gannon. During the 70s, his acting career peaked after playing Captain Merrill Stubing on The Love Boat.
His fortune quickly increased during that time, and his topnotch money management skills saved him from facing any financial issues. MacLeod’s life doesn’t end there. He made a memoir in 2013 entitled This Is Your Captain Speaking: My Fantastic Voyage Through Hollywood, Faith & Life. There he talked about his life growing up in New York City, his life in the spotlight, and how he battled his unhealthy vices and changed his life through Christianity.
