Michael Jordan is not only an iconic NBA superstar. He is also famous for being a product endorser, entrepreneur, and team owner with a $2.2 billion net worth. He is known for having investments here and there, like his massive shoe endorsement contract. Jordan struck a deal with Nike in 1984 worth $500,000 a year for five years, but his total compensation reached almost $7 million. Thanks to that deal, the Air Jordan was born in March of 1985. The collaboration did so well that it sold more than a million pairs in just two months.

Within just a year, the brand generated $100 million in revenues for Nike. Today, Air Jordan dominates the basketball shoe sales by 58%. It also generates a whopping $2.5 million annual sale for Nike. Michael Jordan is undeniably the biggest basketball star of all time. Outside of basketball, MJ was also involved in movies and music. Although his entertainment career did not do as well as his basketball career did, at least he got to experience it. Today, he lives a full and happy life with all the investments.
