Tyne Daly is considerably one of the industry’s greatest entertainers who has received numerous awards and nominations that include six Emmy Awards and a Tony Award. She was also one of the celebrities inducted into the 2011 class of the American Theater Hall of Fame. Daly had turned into one of pop culture’s top feminist icons in the 1980s series Cagney and Lacey. Aside from her latter performances, she did manage to show up in several hit series, including Grey’s Anatomy, where she became the mother of Dr. Shepherd.

Throughout the years, Daly’s smart investments helped her save up a fortune that amounted to $6 million. At the age of 74, she is active in the industry and has even made an appearance in the recent Murphy Brown revival. At her age, she does not seem to have signs of slowing down.
