JOHN ASTIN – 89

John Astin brought to life one of the most iconic characters in film and television history, Gomez Addams of the Addams Family. He first played the role during the 60s and was given the contract to reprise the character during the 70s. Since then, the following years were was nothing but good for the actor as he continued to star in hit films from the 60s up until the late 80s. Aside from acting, Astin was also busy running the Theater Arts and Studies Department at John Hopkins University, his alma mater.

He’s one of the few individuals that hold a drama degree from that university. Astin recently turned 90, and several of his fans shared some of his iconic roles throughout the years. One of those many roles was the mischievous Riddler on Adam West’s Batman replacing Frank Gorshin on two episodes. Astin made a fortune of $6 million throughout his career decades.
