Ted Lange was a prominent star on the hit series Love Boat where he portrayed the bartender Isaac Washington which was probably his most notable TV role. He is also a talented stage director and screenwriter who had earned 17 stage directorial credits, including his production, George Washington’s Boy, and the classic comic play Lemon Meringue Facade. Ted Lange even directed a few episodes of Love Boat during the 70s. In his younger years, he did manage to do well in drama class.
We last saw our favorite bartender on-screen in a 2014 episode of the comedy series Maron. His most recent directing credit was in 2012, where he directed two TV episodes for the First Family. Though he’s no longer in the limelight, his works are still known and talked about across generations. From being an actor to becoming a prominent filmography, he indeed lived a fulfilled Hollywood life.
