BOLO YEUNG – 75
Bolo Yeung rose to fame for being a competitive bodybuilder and martial artist who was cast as the villain in popular martial arts movies. He is best recognized for his performances with Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon and with Jean-Claude Van Damme in Bloodsport. While starring in a commercial, he met Bruce Lee, and a friendship emerged between the two to the degree that Lee invited him to co-star in Enter the Dragon.
During the 1970s and 1980s, Yeung was in various acting projects, but his breakout role was Bloodsport, a film that was shot on a $1.5 million budget. It became a box office hit, and he and Van Damme would star together in subsequent movies. Now 75 years old, the actor no longer appears on the big screen. Not much is known about him nowadays, but the impact he made in Hong Kong martial arts has certainly inspired many.
