Award-winning actor Christopher Plummer has a long-spanning career, specifically, more than six decades. He rose to fame after landing a role in his debut film Stage Struck back in 1958. But he is most remembered for his iconic role of Captain von Trapp in the 1965 musical film The Sound of Music. When he was in his 80s, Plummer made history when he received his second Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in the movie Beginners. It was an iconic moment as he is the oldest actor ever to win an Academy Award.

Plummer is proud of her English wife, with whom he is married for five decades already. He and his wife still do not have a plan for a nice, quiet retirement together because he believes that retirement is an understatement in his profession.
