DICK VAN DYKE – 93

Dick Van Dyke is an award-winning actor, comedian, writer, and singer who has collected over seven decades of experience under his resume. His career started over the radio while simultaneously performing on stage skits as part of a comic duo. He slowly made his way to Broadway until his name got recognized as one of the industry’s best talents. Fortunately, all of his hard work paid off like a significant return on investments from a risky business.

He reached the mainstream scene in the 1963 film Bye, Bye, Birdie, followed by his role in Mary Poppins. Before rising to fame, Dyke joined the US Air Force during the ongoing second World War and was transferred to Special Services to entertain soldiers. He started appearing on TV in 1954 on Chance of a Lifetime starring Dennis James. Van Dyke got inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1995, and he is likely enjoying the rest of his life after decades of working in entertainment.
