Alphonso Joseph D’Abruzzo, or Alan Alda in short, is a famed actor, director, author, and screenwriter who has accumulated six Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award. He was also a part of the legendary cast of “M*A*S*H” as Hawkeye Pierce, which provided him a stable income from 1972 until 1983.

Alda’s career is a long and fruitful one. He showed consistency and had always placed his best foot forward, making him one of the premier actors in Hollywood. The Screen Actors Guild recently awarded him with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the industry. Besides acting, he has also done extensive charity work on which he continues his father’s project for cancer patients in St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
